THE FOUR (4) PILLARS OF AN ANDREAN EDUCATION:
PHILOSOPHY, SYSTEMS AND PRACTICES
My dear Andreans:
Peace! For the past almost 5 years, I have traveled the road of institutional transformation of one of the parochial schools south of Manila, the Saint Andrew’s School (SAS) of the Diocese of Parañaque City, MM.
As the SAS Director, I have acted as guide and facilitator of the process of institutional development, making the necessary interventions as needed and setting up the organizational machinery to effect the desired change.
After years of teaming up with the different levels of the SAS constituencies, we now discern that so much has happened which, by hindsight, have indicated an interweaving direction that covers the SAS Philosophy of Education, its organizational Systems and institutional Praxis.
This paper commits into writing what I have called the key pillars that have guided the SAS transformation as they affect its Philosophy, Systems and Practices.
In the process, it is hoped that all SAS sectors could work for a union of mind, heart and spirit in ushering SAS towards its avowed vision and mission, Pro Deo et Patria.
Sincerely yours,
Msgr. Manuel G. Gabriel
